Requirements:

A four (4) year Degree (NQF Level 8) in Natural or Environmental Management/Sciences or a relevant equivalent qualification, with a minimum of six (6) years post-qualification experience in the field.

Applicants must have sound knowledge of:

• Environmental and natural sciences

• Public service policies, prescripts, and procedures

• The National Environmental Management: Air Quality Act

• Atmospheric Emission Licence (AEL) regulatory frameworks

• Compliance postponement processes and coordination related to the functions of the National Air Quality Officer

Duties:

• Manage and coordinate postponement applications in accordance with applicable legislation

• Analyse and assess postponement requests

• Provide technical and strategic advisory support to the National Air Quality Officer on postponement decisions

• Monitor compliance with postponement conditions and roadmaps

• Oversee the implementation of air quality offset projects

• Support the processing of Atmospheric Emission Licence (AEL) applications
