Purpose of the Role
The Branch Supervisor will oversee operations at the Western Cape distribution facility, with a strong focus on managing the fleet and last-mile delivery teams. This includes performance tracking, driver administration, cost control, and maintaining high standards in safety and delivery.
Minimum Requirements

Matric (Grade 12) required
-
Tertiary qualification preferred
-
Valid driver’s license required
-
Experience in logistics/supply chain/warehouse management highly desirable

Experience in people management required
Key Responsibilities
đźšš Fleet & Delivery Operations
-
Supervise daily fleet operations and last-mile delivery execution
-
Maintain vehicle availability and ensure timely servicing
-
Ensure policy compliance and operational cleanliness (5S standards)
-
Manage relationships with labor brokers for daily driver staffing
-
Complete incident and accident reports promptly
đź“Š Reporting & Cost Control

Monitor fleet-related expenses and report to Branch Manager

Track labor and overtime costs to manage operational spend

Extract and analyze KPI reports for performance improvement

Reconcile daily COD (Cash On Delivery) transactions
đź‘Ą People Management

Train and manage driver administrators and delivery staff
-
Maintain 100% staff attendance and manage absenteeism with corrective actions

Conduct formal staff appraisals, coaching, and disciplinary processes
-
Schedule and supervise daily team meetings focused on KPIs
đź“‘ Admin & Compliance

Maintain proper documentation, labeling, and storage of reports
-
Ensure up-to-date reporting and meeting minutes
-
Upload and verify new driver documentation
-
Arrange and oversee staff transport logistics
đź”’ SHEQ & Safety

Implement and maintain health and safety standards (including COVID-19 protocols)
-
Act as designated Fire Fighter for health & safety compliance
-
Maintain 5S housekeeping discipline across the branch
