Takealot.com, South Africa’s leading online retailer, is looking for an experienced Campaign Manager: Category Growth Specialist to join our high-performance Marketing team in Cape Town.
We're a fast-growing, dynamic eCommerce business looking for a smart and results-driven digital marketer with strong skills in performance marketing and campaign strategy.
The Role
As the Campaign Manager, you will develop and manage category-specific paid media strategies across digital platforms like Google, Meta (Facebook & Instagram), TikTok, and others. Your work will be crucial in helping us grow online visibility, sales, and customer engagement.
This role reports to the Head of Performance & Projects.
Key Responsibilities
📢 Paid Media Strategy & Campaign Execution

Develop and run paid media strategies for key business categories

Set up, optimize, and manage campaigns on Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, and more

Align paid and organic content strategies with the Social Media Manager

Ensure all commercial campaigns are executed accurately and on time
📈 Performance Tracking & Reporting

Report on campaign performance weekly and monthly to internal and external stakeholders

Run A/B tests across performance channels

Monitor and adjust bidding strategies to improve ROI

Use data to refine and scale marketing efforts
🤝 Stakeholder & Vendor Management

Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies

Build strong relationships with commercial partners and guide best practices

Coordinate priorities with the Advertising and Retail Marketing teams
Requirements
🎓 Qualifications

A relevant tertiary qualification (Marketing, Statistics, Computer Science, or similar)
💼 Experience

3–5 years in a Campaign Manager or Digital Marketing role

Strong eCommerce background (Required)

Google Ads & Google Analytics certifications (Required)

Familiarity with DoubleClick/Google Marketing Platform is beneficial
