The Role
As a Product Data Analyst, you will work in our Storefront Digital Experience team. This team designs and improves everything our customers interact with—from homepage and search, to checkout and post-purchase.
You will work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to:

Analyze customer behavior and product usage

Discover insights to improve the user journey

Measure and report the impact of new features

Guide teams in making data-driven product decisions
Your work will directly shape the shopping experience for over 4 million Takealot users.
Key Responsibilities

Work with product teams to identify problems and suggest solutions using data.

Use tools like Google Analytics or Amplitude to track user behavior.

Design A/B tests and measure what works (or what doesn’t).

Create dashboards to help teams monitor product performance.

Set clear success metrics (KPIs) for new features.

Help build a data-driven culture across the company.
Requirements
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
OR
At least 6 years of experience in a similar data-focused role without a degree.
Experience
-
3–4+ years of experience as a Product/Data Analyst, ideally in an eCommerce or tech company.

Strong SQL skills for working with data.

Experience with Python for data analysis is a plus.

Solid knowledge of A/B testing tools (e.g., Google Optimize, Optimizely).

Familiar with dashboard tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.

Understanding of modern data tools like Airflow, dbt, and BigQuery.

Experience working with product teams (UX, engineers, and designers).

Great communication skills—able to explain data to non-technical teammates.
