The Role
The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL) is seeking a qualified and experienced individual to serve as Senior Manager: SCM Risk and Governance. This strategic role is responsible for providing leadership and oversight in the areas of risk management, compliance, and governance within the Supply Chain Management environment. The incumbent will ensure that all procurement processes are conducted in a fair, equitable, transparent, competitive, and cost-effective manner, aligned with all applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree (NQF Level 7) in one of the following fields:

Supply Chain Management

Procurement

Logistics

Engineering

Commerce

Business Management

Public Management

Experience
-
A minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience in a Supply Chain Management environment, with specific focus on SCM risk and governance.

At least 3 years must have been spent in a management or leadership role within the SCM function.

In-depth knowledge of SCM policies, risk management practices, and applicable public sector legislation (e.g., PFMA, MFMA, PPPFA, Treasury Regulations).

Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and compliance management skills.

Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Proven ability to lead teams and drive ethical governance practices.
