Position: IT Business Analyst (HR Technology)

Mr Price Group is looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst to join our technology team, focused on HR systems and digital transformation. In this role, you'll work on business-critical projects that help transform our HR operations, systems, and processes — using your analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to deliver smart, scalable solutions.

The Role

As an IT Business Analyst (HR Tech), you will:

Business & Process Analysis

  • Run workshops to define and improve business processes

  • Use best-practice techniques to gather and challenge business requirements

  • Map and document complex HR processes using standard tools

  • Identify gaps and recommend process improvements

Solution Design

  • Compare solution options and recommend the most effective one

  • Translate business needs into clear and detailed requirements

  • Create Business Requirement Specifications (BRS) and Process Design Documents

  • Ensure requirements are fully understood, signed off, and traceable

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Communicate effectively with both IT teams and business stakeholders, including senior leaders

  • Reduce resistance to change through clear, persuasive communication

  • Drive commitment throughout the project lifecycle

Testing & Implementation Support

  • Support all phases of testing to validate business requirements

  • Ensure readiness for solution release

  • Help track benefit realisation and ensure the solution delivers expected value


Requirements

  • Relevant IT or Business Degree/Diploma

  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role

  • HR system experience preferred (especially Oracle HCM)

  • Strong understanding of business processes in HR environments

  • Able to assess costs vs. benefits of proposed changes

  • Experience in the retail industry and understanding of modern tech tools used in retail

  • Skilled at mapping processes, writing requirements, and documenting solutions

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
