The Role
We are seeking a results-driven Account Director who will take ownership of client relationships and account strategies while overseeing day-to-day operations. This role requires a hands-on leader who can inspire the team, nurture client relationships, and ensure seamless delivery of creative and strategic solutions. You will play a pivotal role in managing integrated marketing projects while identifying opportunities for growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Client Responsibilities

Build strong, productive relationships with clients, based on a deep understanding of their business and industry

Manage multi-level, integrated projects simultaneously with strategic foresight

Collaborate with internal agency departments to develop holistic client solutions

Ensure high standards of creativity, quality, and timeliness across all deliverables

Produce and deliver compelling written content, proposals, presentations, and reports

Present ideas and strategies to clients confidently and professionally

Align creative direction with strategic goals across multiple channels

Manage budgets and ensure timely reconciliation of hours
People Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Group Account Director to define KPIs and support your career growth

Mentor and manage junior team members through training, feedback, and performance reviews

Lead by example and ensure clear internal communication across the account team

Oversee team integration for new hires

Ensure compliance with agency processes and standards
Finance Responsibilities

Monitor and manage project budgets against client expectations

Ensure accurate and timely invoicing and financial administration

Identify and develop financial growth opportunities within accounts

Contribute to new business development when appropriate
Operations Responsibilities

Oversee all administrative and reporting responsibilities, including status updates, action plans, monthly and quarterly reviews

Ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards

Qualifications

Matric (Essential)

Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, or related field (Essential)

Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport (Essential)
Experience

5+ years in client service within a marketing, digital, or advertising agency
-
3+ years of team management experience
