The Role

Santam, part of the Sanlam Group and the market leader in the general insurance industry in Southern Africa, is looking for 10 Insurance Consultants to join our Commercial Contact Centre team in Bellville, Cape Town.

This role focuses on delivering end-to-end service and support to intermediaries in the Commercial Lines division. As an Insurance Consultant, you will contribute to the growth and profitability of the business by providing timely, professional, and innovative solutions to our broker network.

Key Responsibilities

• Support intermediaries via telephone and email.

• Provide quotes, secure conversions, and assist with new business issuance.

• Analyse requests and profile clients to recommend the best product fit.

• Deliver exceptional service that exceeds expectations.

• Follow up proactively to ensure turnaround times and SLA adherence.

• Resolve insurance queries and meet compliance standards.

• Maintain high productivity, quality, and efficiency levels.

• Step in for colleagues during busy periods or when they're absent.

• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance service delivery.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Matric / Grade 12

• 60 FAIS credits (Commercial Lines)

• NQF Level 4 insurance qualification (advantageous)

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Short-Term Insurance (Commercial Lines)

• Proven experience in commercial underwriting

• Exposure to agricultural insurance is advantageous
