The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Foundation Phase Teacher with a strong foundation in early childhood education. The ideal candidate will have a learner-centred approach, a deep understanding of both traditional and progressive pedagogies, and a commitment to holistic child development.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons in line with the CAPS curriculum and ISASA IEB guidelines.

• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for Foundation Phase learners.

• Integrate ICT effectively into daily teaching and learning practices.

• Participate actively in the school’s academic and co-curricular programmes.

• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student success.

• Demonstrate alignment with the school’s ethos, values, and educational vision.

Requirements

• A recognised teaching qualification with specific Foundation Phase training.

• SACE registration (or eligibility to register).

• Relevant experience teaching Foundation Phase learners.

• Strong knowledge of CAPS and familiarity with the ISASA/IEB curriculum (advantageous).

• Innovative, progressive, and future-oriented teaching mindset.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

• Commitment to participate in the full life of the school, including co-curricular activities.

• Support for the school’s Christian ethos.
