Christ Church Preparatory School and College, an independent Christian school in Midrand offering education from Grade 000 to Grade 12, invites applications for the position of Foundation Phase Teacher (Grade 3) to commence in January 2026. The school is committed to academic and extra-mural excellence underpinned by a strong Christian ethos.
The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Grade 3 Foundation Phase Teacher who will promote both academic achievement and Christian character development in young learners. The ideal candidate is passionate about teaching, highly organized, and willing to contribute actively to the life of the school.
Key Responsibilities

Teach the Grade 3 curriculum in accordance with CAPS and the school’s Christian values.

Foster an engaging, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.

Develop and encourage creative and critical thinking in learners.

Participate in school activities, events, and extra-mural programmes.

Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to team-based planning.

Maintain effective communication with parents and staff.

Carry out administrative tasks and reporting as required.
Requirements

Fully qualified Foundation Phase educator.

Registered with SACE.

If not a South African citizen, must hold a valid work permit.

Minimum of prior experience teaching Grade 3 learners.

Fluent and competent in spoken and written English.

Committed Protestant Christian who supports the school’s Christian ethos.

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Computer literate and familiar with using technology in teaching.

Willing to be involved in extra-mural activities.
