We’re looking for a results-driven Universal Banker with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets. The successful candidate will drive sales growth, develop and execute sales strategies, and provide exceptional customer service. The role involves handling demands from Personal, Prestige, and Private Banking clients on banking matters ranging from product inquiries to client account activities (e.g., account openings, statements, debit order information). The Universal Banker will assess client needs accurately and deliver effective solutions in a one-and-done manner within product and legislative (e.g., FAIS) guidelines.
The Role

Drive sales growth through effective cross-selling and upselling of banking products such as loans, credit cards, mortgages, savings, and investment solutions.

Manage client account activities including account openings, statement requests, and debit order information.

Provide expert advice and resolve client requests efficiently and accurately.

Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with business goals.

Build and maintain strong client relationships to generate new business and grow revenue.

Ensure compliance with banking policies, product guidelines, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FAIS).

Deliver exceptional customer service focused on client satisfaction.
Requirements
Qualifications:

National Certificate in Banking (NQF5 FAIS-recognized qualification or above), demonstrating solid knowledge of banking practices and financial services.
Experience:

3–5 years’ experience in banking or financial services with focus on FAIS qualifications and financial advisory.

Proven sales record consistently meeting or exceeding targets.

Experience generating new business and maintaining a strong sales pipeline in branch or contact center environments.

Strong understanding of banking operations, account management, and client relationship management.

Knowledge of banking products, policies, and compliance requirements.

Excellent problem-solving skills and client-focused approach.
